My name is Isabella Littleford, and I bring over a decade of deep immersion in the world of fashion, always with a focus on how beauty and practicality merge.
With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the privilege of honing my craft in Paris, the capital of couture and collaborating with some of the most visionary designers in the world. That experience taught me to recognize luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. There’s something endlessly fascinating about Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that effortlessly marries a pre-worn character with luxury-level build quality. In this article, I’ll be sharing my personal take on various Superstar variants, highlighting their aesthetics, practicality, and adaptability.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to offer you expert insights with insights drawn from my years in the fashion trenches. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!
Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.
So I’m answering a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as how to grab them for less, below! Also, if you’re in the mood for more fashion reviews, check out my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!
Where can I find a pair like yours?
I discovered mine on discount via Cettire and bought them that way!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast – definitely a bonus
What’s the going rate?
When I bought my pair in April, I paid $385.43, but their standard price is goldengooseballstar.org around $514.
These sneakers typically range from $410 and $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
Do they fit as expected?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just get comfortable fast.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you buy again?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is smarter. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also be smart.
Discount sources?
Check out my list below. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I suggest them first.

Where did you get them?
Cettire had them on sale and I jumped on it right away!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast and that’s a win in my book
How much do they run?
When I bought my pair in April, I paid around $385, but their regular price is around $514.
These sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
How comfy are they?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
